MEASURES ON WHICH THE GOVERNOR NOW PROPOSES DRAFT LEGISLATION

Lowering of voting age from 21 to 18 for District Boards,

Municipal Councils and LegCo.

"Single seat, single vote" voting method for all

geographical constituency elections (ie to be extended to

LegCo).

Abolition of appointed seats in District Boards and

Municipal Councils (which means increasing numbers of elected Municipal council seats from 15 to 32 in the Urban Council and from 12 to 27 in the Regional Council.

Removal of disqualification of local Hong Kong residents who

are deputies to Chinese People's Congresses from membership

of Hong Kong representative bodies (District Boards,

Municipal Councils and LegCo).
