the proposals which the Governor will be introducing?

weigh up all the factors and take final decisions on legislation?
Agree that if the Governor had delayed any longer, LegCo
would have faced an impossible task in passing the
necessary laws?
Agree that the British side went as far as could
reasonably be expected to meet Chinese concerns?
Confirm that you stand by the Joint Declaration on cooperation with China?
Resist the temptation to start from scratch with new
elections, which would leave no hope of continuity?
Convey to the Governor the support of this House in the difficult task he is performing?
Agree that the best way for the Chinese Government to show
they have the best interests of Hong Kong people at heart
to allow the Airport and other projects to go ahead?
Despite anxieties in the business community, agree that it
is right to give priority to protecting what has made Hong Kong special, including the rule of law?
