Thank you for your undated letter in reply to mine of 17 September. The Foreign Office have now given me their advice on your prefatory chapter and, as you anticipated, we have no problems with the text enclosed with your letter.

As to your second concern, I can confirm that we shall respond promptly if you have any further textual changes to put to us, although I cannot of course guarantee what the answer will be. There are no points of practice of which you are unaware. You may wish to continue to copy correspondence to David Gillmore, in order to minimise response time.
