which has been, or which shortly will be, negotiated with other countries. For example, Canada intends to grant privileges and immunities pursuant to the provisions of the Foreign Missions and International Organisation Act which apply to "political subdivisions of foreign states". Such privileges and immunities are equivalent to those granted to consular posts of foreign states and to consulate staff.
