STAFFING OF THE HONG KONG ECONOMIC AND TRADE OFFICE, BRITISH EMBASSY, WASHINGTON

1. The Hong Kong Government have informed us that Mr Leung Pak-Chung, Counsellor of the HKETO Washington, will complete his tour of posting on 12.9.93 and will return to Hong Kong thereafter.

2. The officer Hong Kong have in mind to replace Mr Leung is Ms Sandra Lee Suk-Yee, D.0.B 9.3.1952. Ms Lee holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Hons) (HK). She first joined the Hong Kong Civil Service on 10.6.1974 as an Executive Officer II and transferred to be an Administrative Officer on 4.8.1979. She was promoted to Senior Administrative Officer on 1.4.1985 and to the present rank of Administrative Officer Staff Grade C on 1.4.1988.

4.1988. Ms Lee has previously served in the Counsellor (Washington) post during the period 1 7.1986 to 31.3.1988 and is now on overseas training in Boston.

3. Ms Lee is married and will be accompanied by her spouse, Mr Alan Birch.
