STAFFING OF THE HONG KONG ECONOMIC AND TRADE OFFICES, WASHINGTON AND SAN FRANCISCO

Washington

Mr Tommy Lai, Second Secretary of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Washington, will complete his tour of duty in January 1994.

The officer Hong Kong have in mind to replace him is Mr Yeung Ba-Sang (DOB 24.8.62). Mr Yeung holds a Bachelor degree in social science from the University of Hong Kong. He first joined the Hong Kong Civil Service on 2.6.87 as an Assistant Immigration Officer and transferred to be an Assistant Trade Officer II on 9.5.88. He was promoted to his present rank of Assistant Trade Officer I on 22.1.91.

Mr Yeung is married and will be accompanied by his wife Ms Cheung Shuk-Man (DOB 17.9.65) and his son Master Yeung Kai Ho (DOB 26.7.93).

San Francisco

Mr Alex Choi, Principal Information Officer at the HKETO in San Francisco, will complete his tour of duty in October 1993.

5. The officer Hong Kong have in mind to replace him is Miss Eva Tsang Wai-Yee (DOB 27.11.53). Miss Tsang first joined the Civil Service on 3.5.82 as as an Information Officer and was promoted to her present rank of Principal Information Officer on 17.11 92. Her current posting is in the Legal Department, Hong Kong.

6. We should be grateful for your agreement to the appointments of both Mr Yeung and Miss Tsang. ALL expenses will be met by the Hong Kong Government.
