In case you do not know about it I enclose a letter from the Metropolitan Police inviting us to attend a meeting of the "Joint Action Group" which is a Whitehall forum for departments interested in organised crime. A list of those attending the last meeting on Nigeria is attached to the record of that meeting. The next meeting on 9 June will consider "Hong Kong the implications of 1997 for the Group". As NCAD take the lead generally on organised crime I shall attend but would be grateful if Hong Kong Department could also field a representative. have passed the lead on this to us.
