Regulations applied to the public officers in Hong Kong

in lieu of Regulations 54-66

54. (6) Regulations 54 to 66 shall not apply to a person holding any of the following offices -

Judge of the Supreme Court or District Court

Registrar of the Supreme Court

Deputy Registrar, Supreme Court

Assistant Registrar, Supreme Court

Member of the Lands Tribunal (being a member who

is in full-time service of the Crown)

Principal Magistrate

Magistrate

Presiding Officer, Labour Tribunal

Adjudicator, Small Claims Tribunal Coroner

Special Magistrate

President, Lands Tribunal

Presiding Officer, Lands Tribunal.

65.

Except as may be provided by regulations made by the Governor and approved by the Secretary of State and except in the case of an officer who is one of the officers designated in Section 6(2) (a) and (c) to (e) of the Public Service Commission Ordinance, the Governor shall not inflict any punishment upon an officer under regulation 56, 57 or 58 or require an officer to retire under regulation 59 without first consulting the Public Services Commission.
