the Ordinance to be synchronised with the coming into operation of the necessary amendments to the Letters Patent and Colonial Regulations.

I now reproduce at Enclosure B the detailed amendments that we have previously agreed to be made to the Letters Patent and Colonial Regulations. Most grateful if you and your legal adviser would examine these amendments again, having regard to the latest version of the Bill (attached to Enclosure A) and advise us whether any changes need to be made. It would help if you could let us know the formality involved in bringing the amendments into operation (eg approval by the Privy Council and gazettal, etc) and the lead time required.

We shall in due course seek the Governor's approval to repeal Regulation 3 of the Disciplinary Proceedings (Colonial Regulations) Regulations, to reflect the amendments to be made to the Colonial Regulations.

Yours sincerely,

Muillem
