New Registrar for the Supreme Court

I refer to your fax of 28 January 1993 to Anne Sherperd on the question of finding a new Registrar for the Supreme Court. I presume this was in connection with an earlier suggestion raised by Lord Wilson that we might have to resort to help from the Lord Chancellor's Department for an experienced court administrator to assist the Chief Justice in the administration of the Judiciary.

This is a live subject although we are still considering the best way forward. We shall revert to you if we need further assistance from your end.
