Problem

1.

We need to provide the HMOCS Association with further

details of the package of benefits for HMOCS; and to reply to

A a letter from the Secretary of the Association.

That the Minister write to the Association. I submit a

draft.

Background

3.

In his letter of 19 November to the Chairman of the HMOCS

Association, Mr Goodlad undertook to provide the Association with further details of the HMOCS package of benefits before

their AGM on 6 December.

4. We had hoped to be able to give to the Association copies of

the compensation and sterling pension safeguard schemes before

their AGM, but the schemes are not yet final. I therefore

recommend that Mr Goodlad write to the Association enclosing a

brief description of the main features of two schemes and the

SPOS amendment.
