PENSION PROTECTION FOR HONG KONG HMOCS:
Draft Sterling Pension Safeguard & Compensation Schemes
HMT have sent us copies of these two drafts: dated 29/11/93 and 1/12/93 respectively.
I see that the Compensation Scheme applies to HMOCS who were in service on 1 May 1993. In order to prepare tables of suitable factors, we would like to know the numbers of serving and potential HMOCS in the different employment categories at this date, ideally showing the highest Normal Pension Age for which they can opt. Do you know these figures, or can (have?) they been requested from Hong Kong?
I have no other substantive comments. I am faxing copies of this to Clive Brancen and Richard Wills.
