SPOS
- Understand your objections to amending SPOS, but it has much value in helping us sell an eventual package. Apart from making the mechanism itself fairer, it would provide some benefit to
existing pensioners and would much improve the package for
HMOCS.
- The cost is relatively small: only £1-2 million per year.
If no agreement reached
- Our officials have now explored all the options for the
outstanding elements of the package. Clear that a political decision now required.
Suggest we put the matter to OPD (K) for decision at the meeting on 10 November.
