The Governor of Hong Kong will be calling on the Prime Minister on 29 July. You may like an update on the talks with China, and on arrangements for members of HMOCS in Hong Kong.
The 8th Round of talks on electoral arrangements took place from 20-22 July: this was the first round since the Foreign Secretary's visit to Peking on 8 and 9 July.
FCO and Treasury officials have made some progress in narrowing the gap between their respective proposals for an HMOCS package (Hong Kong pensions). But we are not yet in sight of an overall agreement. The Governor will have an opportunity to discuss this with the Foreign Secretary
