(c) Calculate the officer's notional Hong Kong pension in accordance with whichever of Heads A, B, C, D or E of this Schedule is appropriate, save that:

(i) where the officer commuted a part of his own pension, the commutation will be ignored and the notional pension shall be calculated as if the officer had been awarded an unreduced pension; and

(ii) no account shall be taken of any

percentage increase rate obtained in accordance with an Order made under section 59 of the United Kingdom Social Security Pensions

Act 1975.

This produces a sum in pounds sterling.

(d) Calculate the sum in pounds sterling that bears the same relation to the officer's notional Hong Kong pension as obtained at paragraph (c) as the dependant's root pension hears to the officer's root pension i.e.:

(e) Increase the sum obtained at paragraph (d) (i.e. the dependant's provisional notional pension) in April of each year up to the date on which a calculation is to be made to determine whether a supplement is payable under paragraph 5 of the Scheme by the appropriate percentage increase obtained under the relevant Orders made under section 59 of the United Kingdom Social Security Pensions Act 1975, as from time to time in force, as if the sum obtained at paragraph (d) were a pension begining on the [8th April 1991 or the day after the
