Under the latter, SPOS is taken into account in cetermining what is the actual income: in determining the notional pension, the increase in RPI, which SPOS is intended to provide for, is taken into account so that the guarantee is substantially a matter of the exchange rate. Is this correct ? As a matter of fact, coes the application of section 59 of the Social Security Pensions Act on one side of the equation cancel out the application of section 11 of the Pensions (Increase) Act on the other ?
