HONG KONG : 40TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE CORONATION

Further to our telephone conversation earlier today please find attached to this page a mockup of the cancellation cachet to be used for the above issue.

Normally such items are not subject to approval, however in view of the fact that a crown is depicted I have been requested by Hong Kong to ensure that the design is acceptable to you.

For your information the design is identical to that used last year for the 40th Anniversary of the Accession, with the exception of the date and wording.

The previous design was approved and I do not anticipate any difficulties with the attached. However I would be grateful to receive your confirmation that we may proceed with the design.
