Ms Annette Lee, Assistant Political Adviser in the Government Secretariat, Hong Kong, has asked us if we could assist her in obtaining the various OFAC lists detailed in the attached memo from the Secretary for Security. DTI Sanctions

Unit are arranging for the lists to be faxed to Hong Kong.

2.

I understand DTI receive their copies of the OFAC lists from you. I should be very grateful if in future you could also send copies to Ms Lee.

3. I have spoken to Ms Lee to warn her that the Hong Kong Government should be cautious about using these lists. I have also asked Ann Morrison in the DTI Sanctions Unit to follow this up with a note to Ms Lee recording DTI's experience with the Iraqi OFAC list. A copy of my letter is enclosed for your information.
