5. CAPITAL EXPENDITURE (Vehicles, IT/Communications/Security)
This section should be completed by posts and departments only.
Bids for new items of capital expenditure should be made for the next financial year (1994/95); and for the forthcoming PES period (1995/96 to 1997/98). All bids should be prioritised (A, B, C); and costed (except those for IT/Communications).

Posts should complete this section in respect of bids for additional IT/Communications and security equipment and for additional vehicles - SSD will already be aware of the need for replacement vehicles. You should not include bids for capital expenditure on the estate. Any extra estate requirements should be known to OED. If you have any doubts you should write to OED separately.
Posts should then send this section to their supervising department and TMS, RFD:

This section of posts' forms should be copied by supervising departments as appropriate to Information Systems Division (Operations), Support Services Department, Security Department and Technical Security Department. All Departments should themselves complete the forms in respect of their own needs only, and send them as appropriate to the same departments. They should not send this section to their supervising
ATIS
No additional vehicles should be required, but in FYS 95/96 or 96/97, expenditure on IT/communications/security equipment for the new Consulate-General will be substantial although as yet unquantifiable.
