BRITISH TRADE COMM

the quality of the system installed than in the price and although Kenneth Young may be right in his assumption that your price is lower, at the end of the day, that might just not be enough to win you the business. Another worrying comment made by Peter Lok was his hope that Chek Lap Kok would have the most sophisticated windshear warning system in the world, similar as he put it, to those installed now at the major American airports (presumably the preserve of NCAR).
I think it might be useful if we were to have a word soon after your arrival next week. While CAD have their own man on secondment to the Royal Observatory (Stephen Wong), I would suggest that you call again also on Peter Lok while you are here. He is keen to see you as is his colleague Peter Birkett, the Assistant Director in charge of safety regulation at CAD.
Your sincerely Kush thatten
