You asked for comments on the re-draft of the paper on a faster rundown programme for the Hong Kong Garrison (Reference A). I have consulted CAS' office and we are generally content with the revised version, although I feel that the points raised in my earlier response at Reference B remain valid. For example, para 6 could include some reference to the possibility of using surplus RAF accommodation (Hereford/Swinderby). Furthermore, the second line of para 10 should be amended to read " could lead to a small but unquantifiable increase in the risk...".
