The Second Gurkha Battalion should be withdrawn by October

1994 (paragraph 12a).

Subject to confirmation in the 1995 Review, the last Gurkha

battalion should be withdrawn in December 1996 and the final UK

roulement battalion should be withdrawn by 30 June 1997 (planning

to proceed accordingly) (paragraph 12b).

d. Supporting Arms and Services should contract and reduce

progressively, commensurate with the continuing need to support

the reducing Garrison (paragraph 13).

e. Every opportunity should be taken to reduce holdings of

WMR and defence stores early.
