4. HQSTC has confirmed that adequate Service manpower could be made available to allow the Wessex Sqn to operate as an independent unit at Sek Kong until the formal hand over of the Colony. I recommend that we keep this Wessex option open in parallel with the current proposal in order to retain flexibility as plans firm up.
