Standby Fire Control and Ambulance Control, with the necessary communication facilities, will be brought into operation at the 6th Floor of Tsim Sha Tsui Fire Station should the Fire Control and Ambulance Control of the Fire Services Communication Centre fail.

FIRE SERVICES LIAISON OFFICERS

6.

Planning provides for Liaison Officers from both the CAS and the AMS to be stationed at the Fire Control and Ambulance Control during an emergency. Fire Services Liaison Officers will also be stationed at the GSECC and Police RCCCs.

CREATION OF FIRE LANES

7.

If the Director of Fire Services, or any other officer of or above the rank of Divisional Officer, considers it essential to create fire lanes or fire breaks by demolition or other means, the Director of Fire Services will normally consult with the Director of Building & Lands so that arrangements may be made where practicable to comply with the request of the originating officer.

8.

This does not, however, preclude any Fire Officer from exercising his powers under the Fire Services Ordinance in matters concerning fires or other calamities, including demolition of property or any thing and possession of any premises for the purpose of putting an end to the fire or minimising the effects of the calamity.
