ensure that the main exchange (574 1227) is manned. It will be the hot line when the contingency plan is in operation. This would mean that the Member responsible for monitoring radio will, in addition, have to be the telephone operator when the General Office staff are off duty.
Reporting on TV and Radio Output

All
incoming
and outgoing messages (telephone calls, memos, letters, etc.) and any special items spotted on the media should be recorded on log sheets.
Team Leaders should report any important message or broadcast items immediately to AOSG'C' and CTEL.

Towards the end of a shift, the Team Leader should prepare a handing-over report containing :
(a)
summary of media coverage during the
shift;
(b) messages of special interest; and
(c)
outstanding actions to be followed up by the next shift.
18.
The report will be handed to the Team Leader of the next shift with such verbal amplification as necessary. Copies should be made available to CTEL
and AOSG'C'.
Censoring of Programmes

Team Leaders when on duty should maintain close contact with the management of the TV and radio stations.

While accepting the fact that not every programme can be examined and censored prior transmission (particularly news broadcasts), an attempt should be made to prevent the broadcast or the repeat of any material which might incite people to disaffection or which aims to undermine public confidence in the Government.
