When the Commissioner of Police issues the order "Force Mobilisation" (FORMOB), parts of the Police Public Relations Branch will merge with the Information Services Department.

Information officers attached to PPRB will be deployed to man the CIC and HQ CCC in accordance with instructions issued by CSO/PR.

Departmental Information Units will continue to operate as necessary with the general aim of countering false and misleading media reports without delay.

12.

Information

Officers not assigned to specific tasks may be required to reinforce the CIC to cover and report on incidents for the information of the IPC and CIC.

The Creative

Sub-division will ensure that adequate staff are deployed for design, photography and dark room duties.

Departmental

Secretary

will be

responsible for the provision of logistical support during the emergency.

information relating to the emergency, from Departmental Units or Police Command and Control Centres, must be passed to the CIC for collation and dissemination. PPRB officers manning Regional Command and Control Centres (RCCCs), in particular, are responsible for passing a running factual account of events and operations to the CIC. Sensitive information should not be released without clearance from the IPC or HQ CCC.
