Workshop Division
15.
Both the Electrical,
and
Air-Conditioning Refrigeration Section and the Mechanical Plant Section will activate all emergency equipment and ensure it is in full working order. All section vehicles will be checked, fuel tanks filled, protective screens fitted and emergency equipment loaded.
16.
The Vehicle Sections will immediately concentrate on priority vehicles and make them ready leave the workshops as soon as possible. The fuel tanks of these priority vehicles should be filled in Workshops.
Copies of GLTA's Emergency Vehicle Allocation List are held by the respective Vehicle Section Heads.
17.
Vehicle Section Heads will in addition
survey
all vehicles remaining in Workshops, and decide the amount of work required to enable each vehicle to be ready to leave. Thereafter, work will continue on the basis of preparing the maximum number of vehicles in the shortest possible time.
18.
Vehicle Section
Government Land Transport
Heads will inform the Agency as vehicles are prepared for the road, and request drivers for collection/delivery.
Electronics Division
19.
Sections with vehicles will ensure that oil levels, battery levels, etc. are checked and that fuel tanks are filled. Protective screens, where supplied, will be fitted.
20.
A comprehensive list of priority equipment maintained by the Division and kept by the Controller/M&O.
In an emergency, non-priority equipment (e.g. T.V. sets, educational equipment, etc.), will not be
maintained if there are staff
shortages or if working or travelling conditions are dangerous.
