liaising with the GSECC and acting on information and decisions emanating from
it.
DETAILED TASKS
6.
More specifically, the Centre will be charged with the following tasks once it is activated:
(a)

to establish communications with the GSECC, the Security Forces and other available sources in order to ascertain the location, extent, nature and likely development of the civil disturbances, or other emergency;
to arrange for periodic up-dates of the information gathered through (a) above;
to establish contacts with public transport operators and jointly to
assess
(i)
the number and type of vehicles each public transport operator is capable of deploying;
(ii) the availability of labour and
transport for labour;
(iii) the availability of fuel supplies
and means of transporting them; and
(iv) in the case of buses and trams,
the availability and location of secure areas for parking and cash handling and arrangements with CAS/Security Forces and operators to remove the vehicles to these areas (see Annexures A and B to this Part);
