responsibility of the Director of Urban Services (DUS) and the Director of Regional Services (DRS).

The following plans are drawn up for the purpose of providing essential services during civil disturbances, in particular :

(a) collection and disposal of the dead;

(b) collection and disposal of nightsoil;

(c) collection and disposal of refuse;

(d)

(e)

and/or

health

disinfection

other measures,

if necessary, in cases of outbreaks of notifiable diseases and food poisoning; and

operation of gazetted public markets and abattoirs.

EMERGENCY PROCEDURES

It may be necessary, in the event of civil disturbances, to suspend some of the less essential functions of Urban Services Department and Regional Services Department.
