Procedures for making changes to the

approved Estimates of Expenditure

(Note: Distribution of this Circular is Scale C. It should be read Controlling Officers,

by

departmental secretaries and accountants, and by all other officers concerned with the control of expenditure.)

Following an increase in the limit on the financial powers delegated by Finance Committee to the Financial Secretary to make changes to the approved Estimates of Expenditure, the Financial Secretary has approved revised financial limits for Controlling Officers in respect of supplementary provision for departmental expenses subheads, other charges subheads capital account (block vote) subheads as follows -

(a)

where the approved

provision is

$6,000,000 or less

Maximum

$600,000

and

(b)

where the approved provision is more than $6,000,000

10% of the approved provision or $4,000,000 whichever is the less.
