Annual leave whole period notwithstanding that
on a calendar-day basis with the of absence from duty counting as leave, there are intervening Sundays and public holidays and that the leave may commence or end on a Sunday or public holiday.

(2) Where an officer has taken study leave, unpaid leave, vacation leave/overseas addition (but except when combined with annual leave under CSR 1232(1) (e)) during an annual leave eligibility period, his annual leave entitlement will remain unchanged but the 12-month eligibility period will be extended by the period of such leave taken (also see CSR 1375(7)), except for officers on extension of service or on re-employment under CSRS 270, 275 or 277 whose case should be referred to the Secretary for the Civil Service for consideration.

Annual leave may be calculated on a pro-rata basis in the case of resignation or termination of service where the officer is granted his earned portion of annual leave under CSRS 1106 (1) 1106(1) and (2). An officer who has taken annual leave in excess of his earned leave will have the excess amount debited against his leave account(s). If no leave is due, the unea med leave will be treated
