CLA TRAINING FOR BRITISH AIRWAYS IN HONG KONG

British Airways have requested our assistance in giving CLA training to their staff in Hong Kong. Although the airline is not a major offender on this route, they are reacting to a particular problem of inadequately documented Turks who have been using Hong Kong as a transit point recently.

We have agreed that Mike Norris, IO Terminal 4, will participate in this mission. He will be accompanied by Sue Attfield of BA's Government Affairs Department. Sue will cover CLA matters, while Mike will deal with profiling and basic forgery detection. They will travel to Hong Kong on 9 August and the training will last until 12 August.

You may wish to pass this information on to interested parties. I have informed IATA via our SITA

link.
