offices of which the maximum monthly salary is Point 26 of the Master Pay Scale or more, unless covered by sub-paragraph (a) above, to the Secretary for the Civil Service. The resignation of other officers should be reported to the Secretary for the Civil Service in cases where the Head of Department is of the opinion that the officer has resigned to avoid disciplinary proceedings.

An officer who has given notice of resignation may apply to the Secretary for the Civil Service for permission to withdraw such notice and to continue in his appointment as if the notice of
