1. I have broached this matter with Building and Lands and, as usual, the standard reply is that this is a "standard insertion and cannot be taken out". This is not a final response and the request for Special Condition (14) to be deleted will be discussed at an in-house meeting later next week.
2. My own view is that they are unlikely to accept such a proposal. I would be grateful, therefore, if you can concoct a form of words to replace Special Condition (14) that would meet our needs and which I can put to BLD if and when they decide that they will not delete this condition in its entirety.
