suggested an increase and proposed combining J8 and C7 on level 7 as the enlarged rest/lunch room and relocating C7 on the same level. (comment-there is, at present, surplus space on this level to accommodate this change at no extra cost). Special consideration will be given to ventilation of the enlarged area.

Executive dining room: (a new requirement). The Committee suggested locating this in the space marked "exhibition area" on drawing no HKBC-SK04/002. If the link between Consulate-General and British Council is omitted in the future for cost saving reasons, the Committee has no objection to the conference room on level 6 being utilised, as necessary, as an executive dining room.

(a) Car Parking: the Committe felt that it is a false economy to reduce the car parking (as suggested at the 12 October meeting) and in fact requested an extra floor of car parking (approximately 30 spaces) on financial grounds given high cost of parking in Hong Kong at present. Mr Smith stated that the previous requirements of 80 spaces were agreed with post.
