The facts in the case.
Lorrain Osman is 61 years old. He is in deteriorating health, with a heart condition. He is Malaysian, with dual British and Malaysian citizenship, educated at Trinity Cambridge in the UK. He is married with one daughter. His wife and young daughter live in London.
He was arrested on 6th December 1985, in London at the request of the Government of Hong Kong.
he committed various The Hong Kong authorities allege that offences in connection with bank lending to a property company, Carrian, that collapsed in Hong Kong in 1983.
The complaint upon which the Hong Kong authorities acted was made by a Malaysian Government Bank called BBMB.
The majority of the allegations against Lorrain Osman are that he personally and without the authority or knowledge of the shareholder or board, lent hundreds of millions to Carrian.
The following unprecedented irregularities have emerged in the Hong Kong prosecution against Lorrain Osman.
1. The Financial Secretary and the Attorney General of Hong Kong, together with a Malaysian investigator, engaged in a 'cover up' and a 'bending of the law' in the case.
2. The HK authorities swore a false oath before the UK High Court, in relation to the 'cover up'.

The
seven
for Hong Kong Government,
had years
, and improperly withheld, documents which prove Lorrain Osman innocent of the main charges against him.
4. The prosecutor in the case is serving eight years in jail for corruption in Hong Kong.
The principal witness for the prosecution, granted immunities by the jailed prosecutor, lied in breach of the immunities, to investigators and to the HK High Court.

The Malaysian Bank that made the complaint claims to have lost 3,500 documents that would further prove Lorrain Osman's innocence.
