160. On the 30th of October 1990 I had telephone conversations with Mr. McGregor Head of Chancery and conveyed to him the events of the day. He said he would speak to the Foreign Office and the Ministry of Justice in relation to the position of Saniman. I enclose herewith notes relating to the Judgment to the Chambre de Accusasion of the 30th November 1990. (Annexure "Q").

161. I also enclose Note dated 7th February 1991 from Siméon & Associes in relation to proceedings before the Cour de Cassation (Annexure "R")

162. I also enclose herewith MacFarlanes letter to me dated 15th February 1991 and the 19th February 1991 re negotiations with Advocats and the Ministry of Justice in relation to the hearing before the Cour de Cassation (Annexures "S" and "T"). The Cour de Cassation rejected Saniman's appeal from the Decision of the Chambre D'Accusation de Versailles.
