SRH CONFIDENCE INDEX
A number of large corporations in Hong Kong have used the findings of this quarterly survey as input for their corporate and marketing planning. Some chief executives of these corporations have actually specified that the key findings of this survey must be reviewed by the senior management before preparing for the annual business plan.
The SRH Confidence Index will be entering its eighth year when we publish the next quarterly report in January, 1992. As you are aware, confidence is the cornerstone of Hong Kong's prosperity and development. This tracking survey regularly monitors local residents' cconomic and political confidence and its impact on their consumer spending on big ticket items as well as their intention to emigrate abroad.
In each quarterly survey, 1,000 randomly selected individuals are interviewed by telephone so that the findings are projectable to the total population with high precision.
The findings of the survey are presented in a management summary report with self- explanatory graphics and charts showing historical trends up to the present moment.
We would highly recommend that your corporation subscribes to this survey so that your senior management is kept fully informed of the rapidly changing consumer mood in Hong Kong and its possible impact on your business and business development plans.
