British Overseas citizenship does not give the right of abode
in the United Kingdom but nor does British Dependent Territories citizenship.
We do not have available details of how many or which countries will admit BOC passport holders visa free for short periods. However BOC passport holders are able to travel freely in many parts of the world, and they are eligible for British consular protection.
BDTCS of Hong Kong who become BOCs would, when travelling, be in no different a situation to British Nationals (Overseas).
