Applicants in the General Occupational Class Ready for the Governor's Recommendation

Purpose

This paper informs members of the results of personality checks and verification interviews on 1,796 potentially successful applicants in 11 occupational groups in the general occupational class (GOC). Subject to members' agreement and confirmation with the applicants that there is no change in their circumstances, these 1,796 cases will be submitted to the Governor for recommendation to the Secretary-of-State for registration as British citizens under the British Nationality (Hong Kong) Act 1990.

Members are invited to -

(a) note the results of personality checks and verification interviews on a total of 1,796 potentially successful principal applicants in 11 occupational groups in the GOC at Annex-A; and
