Progress of the British Nationality Scheme

Purpose

This paper informs members of the latest position regarding the implementation of the British Nationality Scheme.

Applications

As at 30 September 1992, a total of 66,490 applications had been received. This represents a small increase of 137 applications since the last report in May, which is due to new applications submitted under the sensitive service class and the entrepreneurs class. A breakdown of the number of applications by class is as follows :-
