Further to David Smith's fax of 19 December, Companies House have now checked one of the lists of companies (the rest will follow as soon as possible).

List 2

As you will see from the attached, as well as those that have been accepted as being incorporated in the UK, there are a number on which slight variations to the original have been located and a further two dozen or so which, for one reason or another, are not on Company House records.

Of the latter I would imagine that we would accept the following as being British undertakings:

Grampian Regional Council

Newcastle upon Tyne Polytechnic

Royal National Throat, Nose & Ear Hospital

School of Pharmacy, Liverpool Polytechnic.

We cannot comment on the other names.
