secretarial and clerical workers;

sales workers;

transport and related workers;

skilled and semi-skilled workers; and

service workers.

to Hong Kong's stability and prosperity, including

social work associate professionals;

writers (other than news editors and journalists) and creative artists;

archivists and librarians; and

religion professionals.

The occupation profiles of 1991 working emigrants at the Annex show that the total number of working emigrants in OGs/approved occupations (AOs) included in the first phase of the Scheme has increased substantially by 32.3% since 1987-89, and that the average emigration rate for these OGs/AOs as a whole has also increased from 2.7% in 1987-89 to 3.41% in 1991. The emigration rates of all individual OGs/AOs remain at a
