Having considered the recommendations in Paper No.

SC 107/92, members advised that :-

the second phase of the BNS should commence on 3 January 1994 with a 3-month application period for applications to be submitted under the general occupational class (GOC) and the disciplined services class (DSC);

the unused places in the occupational group (OG) of "Managers & Administrators" in the GOC and in the Royal Hong Kong Police in the DSC in the first phase should be carried forward to the GOC quota for specified OGs and the DSC quota respectively in the second phase;

all the existing specified OGS and approved- occupations (AOs) should be retained in the GOC and that "Librarians and Related Professionals" should be included in this class in the second phase of the Scheme;
