Proposed amendments to the Schedule of the

British Nationality (Hong Kong) (Selection Scheme) Order 1990 in respect of the points scale for

public or community service

Article 17(2) - 6 points (instead of 4) should be given to an applicant for each year of his service with the Legislative council or the Executive Council;

Article 17(3) 3 points (instead of 2) should be given to an applicant for each year of his service with the public bodies in the approved list, and an additional 3 points (instead of 2) for each year of service as chairman of that body;

17(5) 3 points (instead of 2) should be given to an applicant for each year of his active service in the auxiliary services listed in para 17(7); and

Article 22(5)(b) the cap of 30 points to be applied to DSC applicants for unpaid service with voluntary agencies in the social, medical or educational field should be lifted. ( Unpaid service with voluntary agencies included in the third set of Special Circumstances points in the

· GOC is grouped under public or community service in the DSC.)
