I enclose a copy of a letter which the Prime Minister has received from Mr. Ian Harris of Bonas Machine Company Limited.

I should be grateful if you would provide advice and a draft reply for the Prime Minister's signature, to reach this office by Monday 23 November.

I understand that the Bonas Machine Company is an excellent example of a successful and growing enterprise and I am sure the Prime Minister will want to help. If there are any difficulties I expect the Prime Minister will want to raise the matter with Mr. Patten.
