Airport Rail Link To be built by the MTRC.

Metro Cammell (now part

of GEÇ Alsthom) have supplied all the rolling stock for Hong

Ong's railways to date and will be bidding to supply the trains.

Other British companies involved in the construction of the MTRC and

KCRC networks, such as Balfour Beatty, Costain and AMEC will also be

bidding when tenders are called.

Western Harbour Crossing: Costain and Tarmac submitted a detailed

proposal to The Wharf Company to build and operate the third harbour

crossing. The Wharf Company have however withdrawn their application

for a franchise and it seems unlikely that British contractors will

now be involved in this project.

New Territory Landfill projects: Both Gammon and AMEC in separate

groups are bidding for these large contracts (HK$8.8 billion in total)

which will be awarded later this year.
