1. We have discussed the programme with Mr Patten and consulted the Secretary of State. They would like the following

elements included in the programme:

- a working supper in the evening. Mr Patten sees this as an opportunity for feflective discussion, particularly on the options for handling the political/constitutional issues and the timing for decisions.
