Secretary of State's Visit to South-East Asia and Hong Kong
Thank you for your minute of 2 July covering submissions of that date from Mr Hewitt and Mr Ricketts. The Secretary of State considered his programme in Hong Kong and Malaysia on the way back from Helsinki this afternoon, 10 July. He would like to do the following:
Sunday 26 July
Early am
Evening
Fly from Manila to Hong Kong
Working supper with Mr Patten and some others, as suggested by Hong Kong Department
Monday 27 July

Lunch
The Secretary of State agrees to a visit within Hong Kong. He would like to see something with a strong Hong Kong flavour though not the University of Science and Technology. Is there anything maritime such as the new container port? He would not want to go to Shatin, which he has seen.
