Hong Kong press has reported that your visit here is to prepare for the Foreign Ministers' talks in New York later this month. What will they be discussing?

The Secretary of State and the Chinese Foreign Minister meet every six months, as agreed under the MOU. As Mr Hurd said, when he was in Hong Kong he will be meeting the Chinese Foreign Minister in New York, in the margins of the UN General Assembly, later this month. They will no doubt be discussing key issues relating to UK/China/Hong Kong. Precise agenda not yet finalised.
